Denise has worked wonders for my hay fever and allergy symptoms I suffer from chronic urticaria (full body covered in hives) every summer and it is so itchy and makes me absolutely miserable and dread the summer. I was prescribed a concoction of antihistamines (8 a day) and this still didn't get rid. As I'm now breastfeeding I didn't feel comfortable with such a high level of tablets so I reached out to Denise. I had hives every day for a fortnight and the night before she came I was covered. It has now been 3 months (right through summer) and the hives have never returned and I've actually had no other hay fever symptoms at all! I started seeing Denise when I was pregnant about 3 and a half years ago and I cannot rate her highly enough. She supported me wonderfully throughout this time with her highly skilled knowledge and treatment. I had painfully tight round ligament pain when I started which she helped eased and I had acupuncture weekly until I gave birth as I also wanted to keep myself and my baby as healthy as possible. Since then I have continued to see her regularly. Primarily to keep my body functioning as well as possible but over time I have also struggled with excruciating wisdom tooth pain, training injuries and some abdominal issues. I have been going to Denise on and off for years now and my experience is nothing short of wonderful. I struggle a lot with anxiety due to trauma and being autistic and she has always made me feel comfortable, welcomed and understood. She is incredibly empathetic as a person and extremely competent in what she does and so far has managed to treat several injuries of mine as well as help my overall wellbeing. Her expertise exceeds that of a regular practitioner- she doesn't just look at the physical problem but what emotionally might be happening within the person that causes the particular pains. Denise is an excellent acupuncturist and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Not only is she skilled at acupuncture - correctly identifying the specific issues at hand and using acupuncture to solve them; she is also very friendly and understanding. As a result, she has great relationships with her clients. This is certainly true for me. Denise has always been able to sort me out with my arthritic pain on different sites on my body, so I usually feel like skiping out of her clinic after a treatment.  I really like how she  pays proper attention to my descriptions of all aches and pains on any given visit.  She is very friendly and immediately puts me at ease at the start of my session and I always have full confidence in her ability to help me. Cannot recommend her highly enough. I've recently been to Denise twice for acupuncture to help relieve toe pain I've put up with for 14 years! Thought I'd damaged a nerve and had accepted that I'd just have to live with the pain. I had slight relief after the first treatment but complete relief after the second, it's really unbelievable! I'm currently at two weeks post treatment and still pain free. Denise explained how acupuncture works and I found the treatment to be incredibly relaxing, once the needles were inserted. I might need further appointments to keep on top of it but I'm so happy to have found a solution that hasn't involved steroid injections or surgery.
