Acupuncture can help to maximise your chances of success by making sure you’re in the best possible health for your pregnancy journey.
Ideally, preparation for an IVF Cycle begins three months prior to your start date. In these three months it is essential to create the healthiest environment possible:- working to regulate the menstrual cycle and supporting efficient and regular ovulation as well as balancing hormone levels. As it takes Eggs and Sperm around three months to mature, any issues can be identified and addressed in that time. If this is impractical a shorter course of treatment is possible.
Acupuncture is performed before, during and post transfer treatment. Studies show that acupuncture pre and post embryo transfer can positively impact IVF outcomes.
By living healthily and by including treatments such as acupuncture alongside IVF, you are doing everything you can to proactively enhance the chances of success. The treatment is designed to be a complement to IVF. In particular it can be used to minimise the side effects of drugs such as headaches, fatigue, palpitations, pain or anxiety.

Male Infertility
There has been an increase in the use of assisted conception. Methods such as ICSI can bypass many of the logical issues of male infertility but do not address the root cause. Acupuncture is beneficial during ICSI to promote overall well-being.
Acupuncture can help with the underlying cause and can increase the success rate of assisted conception.
